Wholesale
Wholesale orders and stock without the morning reconstruction.
A wholesale operations software custom build should stop a pick that would breach credit, and show stock by site without walking the floor. If month-end is still a reconstruction, the order was never the spine.
The problem
Orders arrive by email and chat. Credit limits live in someone’s head. North warehouse and the dock disagree until someone counts both. A line that should not have picked has already been wrapped.
Price lists, ageing, and margin are a weekend export. Sales promises a date the warehouse cannot make because transit stock is a separate conversation. Multi-location is a slogan until allocations are real.
We capture the order, check credit, and allocate by location. A line that would breach a limit does not pick. Ageing and margin are a view, not a project. If an ERP already does this for how you actually sell, we will say so.
What a custom system holds
- Order capture with customer and price lists
- Credit that can lock a pick before the warehouse wastes the morning
- Stock by site, including goods in transit
- Picking, packing, and delivery status on the same order
- Sales and margin views without exporting first
Questions
- When does wholesale need a custom build?
- When credit cannot stop a pick, and stock by site disagrees until someone walks the floor. If an ERP already does that for how you sell, we will say so.
- How does a custom build start?
- A twenty-minute discovery call. We watch how work, stock, and money move — including the exceptions a template never modelled. Then a written scope. If a packaged product already covers it, we will say so.
- Where are you based, and who do you work with?
- Metalique Studios is a UK software company based in Chigwell, Essex. We build custom operations software for UK hire companies, workshops, field teams, and other ops-heavy SMEs — in the language those floors already use. See the UK page.
Where we work
If orders and stock still disagree until someone walks the floor, book a twenty-minute call. We start with how the warehouse actually ships.
